We rely on our elbows for many of our daily activities.

When they’re injured activities like driving, lifting, cooking and even sleeping can be affected. The elbow is also prone to stiffness which can be a frustrating problem that arises after fractures or sprains. Arthritis is another cause of elbow stiffness and pain.

Elbow Treatments

Many elbow issues can be treated through arthroscopic, or minimally invasive therapies. For patients, this means a lower risk of complications and less downtime after surgery. Even severe elbow arthritis can be managed with osteocapsular arthroplasty, a minimally invasive therapy that can restore motion and decrease pain.

There are also biologic treatments for elbow diagnoses such as lateral epicondylitis (tennis elbow) and medial epicondylitis (golfer’s elbow) and UCL sprains (Tommy John’s).

The main elbow problems treated by Acumen Clinic are:

  • Lateral Epicondylitis (Tennis Elbow)
  • Medial Epicondylitis (Golfer’s Elbow)
  • Degenerative Arthritis
  • Elbow Contracture (Stiffness and Loss of Range of Motion)
  • Ulnar Nerve Compression (Cubital Tunnel Compression)
  • Snapping Triceps Syndrome

Many patients don’t have a diagnosis for their elbow pain, and at Acumen Clinic we work to find the cause of pain and treat it effectively.
