
Dr. Sasha Carsen
Orthopaedic SurgeonDr. Carsen is an Orthopaedic Surgeon with a special interest in adolescent and young adult orthopaedic sports medicine. He has full time clinical practice based in Ottawa, and he is an Associate Professor of Surgery within the Division of Orthopaedic Surgery at the University of Ottawa with an active academic and research practice.
Dr. Carsen graduated from McGill Medical School, and trained in Orthopaedic Surgery at the University of Ottawa. Sub-specialty fellowship training in Orthopaedic Sports Medicine took place at Harvard University and Boston Children’s Hospital, and was followed by further fellowship in Pediatric Orthopaedic Surgery at UBC and BC Children’s Hospital.
Dr. Carsen’s practice is particularly focused on sports medicine, arthroscopy, and joint preservation. This includes soft tissue injuries and problems of the young knee, hip, and ankle.
