Dr. Matt Snider is a Royal College certified orthopedic surgeon focussing on hip and knee arthritis and replacements and knee sports injuries. Dr. Snider performs both direct anterior and lateral approaches for hip replacements and partial knee and total knee replacements. He has performed thousands of hip and knee replacements and thousands of sports knee surgeries in his 16 years in orthopedic surgical practice.
Dr. Snider completed medical school at the University of Western Ontario (2000-2004) and then completed the Orthopaedic Surgery Residency program at UWO (2004-2009). He then completed a sports medicine fellowship in Auckland, New Zealand (2009) with a focus on knee injuries. Dr. Snider is an Assistant Clinical Professor at McMaster University (Hamilton, ON) and is the chief of the Orthopaedic Surgery division in Kitchener-Waterloo, ON. Dr. Snider provides private surgery and consultations in Calgary and private surgeries also in Toronto in addition to his southwestern Ontario practice.
