Aquatic sports can be challenging for the body as the repetitive motions can often lead to overuse injuries in the hips, shoulder, elbows, lower back, and knees. Preparing for competition usually increases the physical demands of the sport and the need to train specifically for the sport is becoming more and more of a priority. At Acumen, we strive to help athletes become aware of their bodies through thorough evaluations prior to any training program to help reduce the risk of injury and help tailor performance goals and programs for each individual and/or team.
